We’re always glad to see sports betting excels and grow. That could mean “grow” in terms of “sports betting becoming more popular than ever,” which is certainly true. Or, alternatively, it could also mean “grow” in terms of “now it’s in more places than before,” which is also true. Today, we’d like to highlight a couple stories from across the country.
Everywhere Sports Betting Excels
Vermont, despite having so many New Yorkers and other sports fans in the state, has not yet legalized sports gambling. However, that seems soon to change. The Vermont Legislature formed a committee to study whether or not legalized sports betting would be good for the state. You won’t be at all surprised to hear that, of course it will be.
Specifically, the committee found that a market, properly regulated, would increase state revenue. That’s held true across the United States in so many of the states where it’s been legalized.
Speaking of a state where sports gambling has brought in quite a bit of money, we turn our attention to Kansas. In the month of November, sports betting revenues reached $10,589,495. In October, that number was at around $7.9 million.
Everywhere you look, sports betting is doing better and better, for states as well as for citizens.
