NBA Skills Challenge Contest 2/18/2023 Picks, Odds and Prediction
Team Rooks is the best, but Team Jazz in Hometown is preferred. Our NBA Skills Challenge picks will show you why fading the chalk makes sense for Saturday betting. The NBA All-Star Weekend is an annual event. However, the league has made some changes in recent years to make it more interesting. The skills competition was transformed from an individual event into a match between three teams of three players last year. This format will be repeated in 2023, and NBA Skills challenge betting odds and picks are available for the event.

NBA Skills Challenge Players and Analysis
Team Jazz (-130)
Jordan Clarkson
Walker Kessler
Collin Sexton
It is easy to see why Team Jazz is the favorite. Their home fans will be impressed and they will be motivated to put on an impressive show. Jordan Clarkson’s and Collin Sexton’s dynamic guards should perform well in every round. Kessler is the weakest link in this group. The 7-foot rookie has been impressive with his rebounding and shot blocking skills, but he’s not known for his ability either to shoot or run the floor.
Team Rooks (+150)
Paulo Banchero
Jaden Ivey
Jabari Smith Jr.
The Rookie of Year favorite Banchero, along with a few other first-year players like Smith and Ivey, should make for a very entertaining team. Ivey’s athleticism and ball handling make him a perfect choice for this event. Even big men like Smith and Banchero can run the floor and shoot at long distances.
Team Antetokounmpo (+500)
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Thanasis Antetokounmpo
Alex Antetokounmpo
At +500, Team Antetokounmpo seems almost an afterthought. They have an entire year of experience, having competed in the 2022 event and finishing in last place in 2022. However, their squad is far less experienced than the rest. While Giannis is a great player, Thanasis is rarely far from Bucks. Alex, the younger brother, is a little player in the G League.
NBA Skills Challenge Free Pick
Team Antetokounmpo will be out of the competition immediately. They are very athletic and can run on the floor. However, they will struggle with the shooting portion of this event because Giannis isn’t known for his smooth jumper. Kessler’s presence in Team Jazz will make it difficult for them to compete with the other teams. Kessler is a guy who has only managed to score 11 treys during his college career at a rate of 20% and has never scored a three in the NBA, despite shooting 54.4% from charity. They will also be hurt by him in the passing category, and he won’t likely be much help with the running event. Team Rooks is the best all-around unit according to NBA Skills challenge betting trends. It is composed of hungry first-year players and will be thrilled to be a part of this event. They are able to take them at a plus price, making them the right side to invest your money.
